Orange Tabby...He Stays and His Name is Finn (Update with Videos Dec 31)

Finn must have had a hard night. He asked to be let in around 2:30 a.m. and then he jumped on the foot of our bed and slept until about 5:30 a.m. before he wanted back out. Not long after he came in that first time, I heard a fox's alarm barks, so predators were close by. This is where the Finnikins is at this moment.

Sweet Angel. He must have had a tough time guarding the perimeter last night. Wouldn't it be great to strap a Go Pro camera to him and see what he is up to?

I do have a game cam and moved it to face the back lot after the fox-and-coyote night. Night before last, what appeared to be a deer in the distance triggered it, but nothing else. I want to see how large the coyote pack is that is roaming my property lately.

Cyn, I work on a 500 acre TB horse farm and there are many coyotes - I can even see them trotting through in broad daylight out my office windows. We have had a lot of trouble keeping cats in the barns because they are decimated by the coyotes. Right now our current group of barn cats seem to be pretty good about staying close to the barns and are surviving. It might be a good idea to keep Finn in at night to keep him safe.

Well, yeah, it would and we'd be glad to, tried, but he simply refuses to stay inside. He yowls and scratches and begs and we can't get any sleep. So, he gets what he wants.

Quote: Cats have their own plans and not much can be done about it if you want any peace! He sounds like he understands the danger and runs to the house when it's around.
