Order a few chicks

Hi all, my boyfriend and I are just looking to adopt 2 chicks. Unfortunately every site I've seen only will ship 3 and the only hatchery (I think..?) in Maryland will only let you buy 6+. Is it possible to have an order smaller than 3+ chicks?

If you live near a hatchery you can usually pick up an order and not have a minimum to meet. Another couple options are craigslist (search several times with a variety of key words. For example: chickens, chicks, welsummer, etc), and seeing if there is a grower nearby. They buy chicks in large quantities and grow them out to sell to people who want chickens ready to lay to replace older birds, but they usually will also sell the younger chicks if asked to.
