Ordered Ducks, received warming chicks??

According to their website, you pay extra for a heat pack with an order of 2 and they do not include unwanted chicks. What a mystery! Fingers crossed for pullets.

Yes, and they came with the heat pack. The farm swears they didn’t send the chicks and the black ones are definitely not theirs, since they don’t even raise black chickens.

Regarding sex link, how would I tell if the black ones are sex link and identify them as pullets or cockerels?

this is just 2 funny........ black sex links are identified by the spots,go on line and look them up, I am pretty sure males have a spot on the head.....
I used to be a postal person, and we definitely would take the time to catch run aways. That said it is very unusual to have escapeies.

Male sex links have white spots on the top of their heads. If those are BSLs, they are pullets. Google sex link chicks. Looks like BSL female chicks to me.

If they were escaped chicks from someone else's order your chances of all females just went through the roof!

I too think black sex link pullets.

Someone on another site mentioned Asian Black. Anyone familiar with this breed? I’ve never heard of it before.

The few images I could find of Asian Blacks show some yellow on them. Yours have a tiny bit of yellow but not nearly as much as the pics I found.

Yours look exactly like my Black Sex Links did as babies.

You are probably going to have to wait until they grow up. I'm curious about the other ones...
