Ordered from McMurray...

YAY!!! My dad ordered my first chicks from there :). Of course, I don't remember it, since I was three years old 😄. What breed? Is this your first batch of chicks? If so, CONGRATS NEW CHICKEN MOM (OR DAD)!!!!

So sorry. I just saw this. I have speckled sussex and cream legbars coming. They are joining our already crazy flock 🐔🐔🐔

McMurray is just in the next county from where I live; I have three of their hens that I bought from a local 4H-er, and Gabby, Sally (both Cochin Bantams) and Marietta (Blue Laced Red Wyandotte) are lovely, healthy girls.

Although not from McMurray, my Speckled Sussex is the friendliest girl in the flock. No experience with Cream Legbars, but I admire their eggs.

Here's looking forward to March 15 -- and best wishes on getting construction done by then. Some of my chicken runs have been literally held together with zip ties when my desire for more birds outpaced my building skills set. (Don't worry; everybody's safe and the zip ties have been replaced).

Thank you. Not shame in some temporary zip tie fixes. 😉
