I just ordered my chicks from Murray McMurray, 3 Wyandottes!

Is there anything I should know? I ordered 3 Wyandottes, with a group order.

what will I need? I usually let my hens raise the chicks, so I'm a little new to this whole "brooding" thing

    I think I'm gonna use a light & a mama brooding setup,
Anything I should know? please tell me!

My Wyandotte is one of the sweetest girls in my flock. What works well for me is starting the chicks out with a good probotic. It provides benifical bacteria and gives their gut a good start. I use probios. I use the ecoglow brooder . Its super easy. No fire danger, no danger of being too hot or too cool, the chicks love it. It costs a fraction to run. Make sure they have clean water with marbles in the tray so they dont drown in their water. Also Google Coccidosis. Know the symptoms, and have some Amprollum or Corid on hand to treat if needed. Its a very common illness they can get easily. If not treated it can be fatal. I also recommend that if possible get their Mareks vaccine after hatch. Enjoy your chicks and hope this helps.
