I have not, but I do know that chicks and cold do not mix. You will have to keep them in a brooder with a heat lamp on one side (so they have the other side of the brooder to cool down) until they are a minimum 8 weeks old, or fully feathered.has anyone ordered chick's from Meyer Hatchery in the month of December? if so how long did it take for you to receive your order, and how did the chick's do with the cold?
I have ordered in early Feb, and they did fine. They stayed in the brooder longer, as you can imagine, but they did just fine. Just make sure they are warm extra heat lamps, back up heats lamps back up to the back up heat lamps...ect ect
I’ve had two shipments in the last two weeks. One was 46 hours and today’s arrived after 18 hours. 46 hours lost 3/5. 18 hour all are well.
