Ordering hens and roosters from same hatchery?

I'm ordering some Norwegian jaerhons pullets from ideal. But I'd also like a rooster jaerhon to try and hatch some chicks. Would it be OK to order them together from the same place? Do you think there is a high probability of relation between the hens and roosyer? Thanks for any advice!

It should be fine. Most hatcheries have something like 50 hens and 5 rooster in a breeding pen, so the chances of your male being a full sibling to any given female is pretty darn small.

Awesome! I don't know anything about how hatcheries manage their flocks, so this really helps me out. Thanks!

You can go to you tube, enter the name of the hatchery and often they have video clips of their breeding pens. They always look too crowded to me, but the birds look healthy.
