I am getting ready to order my SLW babies
from Cackle Hatchery in Lebanon, MO.
I am buying 15 poulets and 5 straight run... I like to have a choice of the roos that I am going use as breeders. I usually keep 2 roosters to 15-18 hens. But, if they are gonna do what my Aracauna's roosters do (I had to separate my two boys cause when they would 'do their business' with a hen.... one would hold the hen down by the back of the head and the other would breed her!
) then then I will give each roo their own harem.
NO tag-team breeding!

I have separate coops for each of my breeds as well..... it is easier on them AND me !!
Anyway... I have fallen in LOVE with SLW's !!
Any special 'anything' I need to know about them?
