Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 22 - Corvallis @ the Fairgrounds!!!

I love both the works. That rose would be so perfect for anyone who had "rose" anywhere in their farm name. Or just anyone who likes roses.

For the wreath, I like it just like it is, but to make it Christmassy, I wouldn't do anything to it except for substitute a Christmas print ribbon. You don't want to gob it up and make it too cutesy. Right now it is strong and clean.

I think that is the difference between quality crafts and amateur looking crafts. The real artists know when to stop adding.

Xmas wreath would be easy - paint it green and add some red balls (can you get metal ball bearings?) for holly!

Thanks and yes I can get polished steel balls about 3/4" dia. If you can weld a little you can make this stuff it's just like eatin lettuce there aint nothin too it. Just go at like eatin an elephant. One bite at a time!

Sorry, I've been sick...but then CLF knows how sick I really am and because of that, I didn't think I needed any "LOL" behind my earlier comment...but just remember, I love ya!

Drove to Bend yesterday to pick up hatching eggs from Piperomar. Wow! She has the greatest, most artistic chicken coop I have ever seen! I was really impressed. Such a nice woman too.

I love all the great people I have met since joining this forum.

Updating my have/want list- thank you Craigslist, I may not have to cart chickens BOTH ways... and don't any of you dare tell my roomies I am expecting to bring any more chickens home!!!
Tam'ra of Rainbow Vortex

Bringing
-4 month old Speckled Sussex and Buff Orpington cockerals (I am determined to rehome the SS-sweetest birds EVER, but the BO will be freezer camped if not spoken for)
-Herb and veggie starts for chicken gardens (focusing on reducing internal parasites)
-Maybe a 'chicken salad bar' planter or two (If I get around to building them)
-Garden produce: HUGE variety of tomatoes, lots of other things too! (if they last through October)
-Concord grapes (if they last through October)
-Chicken art (feather masks etc.)
-2'+ tall avocado trees (only one left unclaimed!)
-extra tables for use during the swap

Wanting
-Turkey poults- need not be pure bred, but must be pretty!
-More feathers! (especially from birds I don't have)
-a decent incubator (not that I expect anyone to part with one!)
-Frizzled pullet/hen (I don't want a white one or a bantam, but anything else goes as long as it does/will lay decently)
-2 sampler platter cheesecakes from Zoomummzy

If you wind up waiting I have a Silkie bantam that was hatched in July that I don't want to keep... currently growing up with the bantam favorelles in the grow out brooder.
