Think your hubby might like a windchime made out of 50cal shells?
lol.png

We could have redneck craft time!

I have my grandmother's old sewing machine too - the kind that sinks down into the table. It's going to take more $$ to get it all fixed up and useable than it would be to just buy a new machine if I wanted one, so the table is serving as a jewelry / make up table in my bathroom! LOL I'm sure all the humidity in there is GREAT for the wood!

Thanks Cathy! I had so many replies from the first one and we didn't even have anything planned at that point. I plan to do one each month just to keep it in everyone's face lol. I've already been passing out flyers and putting them up around town. I've been busy planning cheesecakes while I paint my kitchen this week

Hey all,
yippiechickie.gif

I've been doing some gardening. And I thought I would set aside a small area for my chickies.
D.gif
That way they can run around in their garden while I work in mine (well, thats the idea anyway)
wee.gif
What are some good ideas on types of plants for this garden? The basics, safe for the chickies to eat, easy to grow and hardy. Any ideas?
fl.gif
Maybe something that I can put a little border around and have it not look too bad. I don't want to put much work in something that I know they are going to destroy, but I would like something they could have a good time with.

Thanks, I appreciate any info.

Lol yep I have one of those too. Mine is in the living room as an end table. The cats pee on it when they get angry at me
lol.png
It was my great-great grandma's...lots of family baby clothes sewn on it I guess. I'm sure I'd make a fortune selling it, but it's a nice table lol

Hi,
Love your masks!
big_smile.png
Would love the chance to learn how and would also be interested in the quilt swap. I'm new
tongue.png
(really new) in quilting. I'm actually trying to teach myself. I do live far. (Vancouver, WA) But willing to meet, travel, or whatever; to give it a try! I have done masks in the past. Mostly paper mache with paints and crafting supplies, never with feathers. So if you get a group going, (masks or/and quilts) count me in.

I'm not sure we have met, but my name is Paula.
frow.gif
No kids (except the furry, feathered, or the fish kind), no job, (should be cleaning the house, but who likes to do that
sickbyc.gif
) but I do have a car, a computer and lots of time!
ya.gif

(Oh, I do have a hubby, but I think I have finally got him grown enough to leave him alone for a few hours at a time!

)

Paula, I'm going to put you down for the block swap! Dive right in. The block is super simple...and you don't have to worry about making the quilt yet, not until you get the swapped blocks. There are so many capable creative people here! I can't wait to see what we come up with for blocks and then what the final quilts will look like!!!!

Cool! How do I get started? Is there a pattern or some measurements I need? I've got lots of fabric, so I can start whenever.

Did you get my PM? I'm dying to do something other than cleaning house today - where's that pattern already?

Here's a quilt top that I put together this past Saturday evening while trying to avoid doing the dishes.
