I think I will have to buy one of your cheesecakes this time. I want a cappucino one for sure! I don't see any regular chocolate cheesecakes on your list. Do you make those?

I've tried several recipes and haven't liked any of them but I'm still looking. If I find one, do you want one of those too?

Just throwing this out there. I have alot of extra duck eggs for eating and baking., for sale year round ! Can deliver to some areas. They are 5.00 per dozen, on sale right now for 4.00 per dozen.

please pm me if you are interested or know of someone that may be. thank you.

Ok, after rmuch reading and a huge headache, I think my way "around" this new farm/food bill is to not offer my cheesecakes in a "public venue". I will take preorders for cheesecakes, but I won't be bringing any extra to sell/offer to the "public". The bill does not govern (really not clear yet on what it does govern

) private transactions so I will sell them to my fellow swap goers in the same fashion I do to my local friends who want them. PM me and preorder. I will bring them to the swap and we'll trade goods/money. Most likely I will throw in a few extras in case people who have already preordered want an extra one or two.

So, updating my lists:

Bringing

-Serama hatching eggs $3 each
-possibly started Seramas
-plastic quart chicken waterers (no idea how many yet) $1 each
-Cheesecakes: 10in baked, wrapped, frozen cheesecakes - $20 each - preorders only (deadline March 31, 2012). PM/email me to order and/or for the list of available cheesecakes.

ZooMummzy, where did you find information about the new farm food bill? I'm trying to figure out what I can sell and what I can't.

After going about half crazy trying to figure out the licensed home kitchen, that turns out it won't work for me. I don't know why they can't manage to put the information out there clearly and all in one location. Forget about finding out the requirements for a regular licensed kitchen. Apparently, it's a secret.

I honestly have not found any substantial information. I googled it about 10 times yesterday in different ways and came up with the same thing - pretty much nothing but convoluted terms. I just wish they'd write these things in plain English! I'm pretty sure baked goods are out, but the whole preserve/pickle thing is confusing. I'm getting around the baked goods by doing private transactions. The one thing I found is that if your event is private, not open to the public, none of the rules apply so I'm doing my cheesecakes like I do for friends/people around here - private transactions. I also swap a lot of my cheesecakes so..... The rules don't apply if you are "swapping" items, BUT you can't do the swapping while you have sales going on too (like at the Swaps). I think we definitely need to figure it out before the swap so we can be more specific about what can and cannot be brought, especially for the Fall one. The spring one, well, it's more "casual" so I wouldn't be too worried. As I find out more information - someone is calling me today who knows a bit more about it - I will let everyone know.

I know I've heard some comments from people about how if we hadn't taken the swaps public we wouldn't have to worry. We also wouldn't have enjoyed the sales we did last month and honestly, our swaps have always been public since the beginning. We just never held them in venues that were conducive to high traffic and the publicity was hit and miss.
