First time hatcher in incubator. Hatching SEEMS TO BE EARLY. Some liquid gushed out with one chic....looked like a red string thing was still attached to the egg. I came back 5 minutes later to check and this is what i found. She seems fine otherwise. Active as of now. It seems to be drying out.
Is she going to live or die? Its been 12 hours. Should i put her in the brooder to eat and drink in case that was the yolk sac so she didnt get what she needs or leave her in incubator longer to heal. I have more eggs in the incubator to hatch over the next couple days because i stuck a few different days in as they were laid and dated them. Probely not the best idea since now i worry about opening it to get chics out while more need to hatch still. Anyone know what happened and what to do?
