Hello All,
I've been looking around here for a few weeks and have found so much great information! Thanks to everyone who shares their experiences and knowledge. Especially, all the pics of coop plans.
Our chicks arrive next week and something I haven't been able to find is source for organic soy-free feed in South Carolina. I have found plenty of feed stores in our area that carry organic, but not soy-free organic. There are mills in NC and VA and tons of mills west of the Mississippi that make organic soy-free feed. We live in Lexington, SC and shipping from these mills is outrageous.
Tried contacting our local feed stores to see if they'd be interested in carrying some organic soy-free feed...no luck.
We even looked into mixing our own by buying bulk organic ingredients from the local Earth Fare, but its too costly.
Anyone live in SC and know of any sources to get organic soy-free feed?
Thanks for any help!
Edit: I saw that someone was keeping a list of organic feed sources. You can add this source in NC. http://www.northcarolinaorganicfeed.com/retail-stores-that-carry-our-feed/
They deliver to couple feed stores between Asheville and Raliegh....but not Charlotte.
