Organik intro

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I'm pro rooster but I'd ring that birds neck with my bare hands and have myself a fine dinner of Coq au vin.
I really hope you make a full recovery with no long lasting effects.
Omg_my family said that. I’m not sure what to do now. I had two TERRIBLE DAYS, 10-20% better I think now. I can walk by myself, go potty(lol) who would think it could lay you flat on your back.. I didn’t walk or talk for 24 hours, it was scary, very scary, and I don’t easily scare. It’s wonderful to read all these posts, and know others have succumb to our dear birds to. Do you really think I can’t train it out o him? I usually in their youth carry a bucket, they go after the bucket and the bucket(red one) bites back. You know what I mean. And it’s just been I’ve not been around him enough. Let me know. I do have a neighbor would prob want to help him into the oven. Thanks. Let me know how long y’all were sick, cause reading about it it’s scary to.

Welcome to BYC. We’re so glad you joined!:frow
I hope you get better. :hugs
Omgosh thank you. It’s been the scariest thing I’ve every personally experienced. Today no potty accidents and can barely stand but can stand. Yipee. So glad for all of y’all advice and concern. I’ve never been one to tell or complain but I think I have to confess the more I read I’m concerned because I could get sepsis, and I’m far enough out I am not enough familiar with all that, always been very careful n wary, but now I feel like a dipstick. How do you know symptoms or what to watch for? Even my doctor is proud of me taking an antibiotic before calling him because I felt literally afraid at 30 minutes, it was so fast, I thought I was on fire, my whole leg toes to my hip, then pelvic area, 4 months ago I injured my hip labyrums, spelling, they need to be fixed, anyway, and I don’t take or buy anything so he said to take at 12 hour intervals, then yesterday I wasn’t getting much better so he had me take the 500 3x’s, then back to two times today like that. But he is even not sure because I’m so careful with pathetically everything so, do you know? Is there anything else I can do? I am kinda scared, or more than kinda. Thanks again and I understand if you can’t say much. Hippa and all. Thanks for your genuine concern like all here. It’s been a try comfort/ can’t even begin to say… anyway if you can let me know.

Welcome! I really hope you get better soon, and I’ll be praying for you! :hugs Your farm sounds beautiful! Post chick pics soon!
Okay. It’s plain, I’m conservative on that stuff, I see all these beautiful living places for their birds and I’m ashamed but we have nice homey coops, big runs, and 40 acres they can eat to their hearts content from 2- bedtime. Thanks for the concern and it’s been an amazing uplifting experience being and reading about all of us. We LOVE, love ourFOWL, they love us and reward us. You stay well to. BeSafe out there.

👋 Omgosh thank you. Yes. I was so sick, no speech, not able to walk within 4 hours, I knew it was bad in 30 minutes, took antibiotics and my doc said that saved my life. He’s not sure how long it will last. How long did it last for y’all. It’s my fault, I rarely turn my back on a Roos, I love all of our critters but respect the lions(roosters), the most, they are there to protect and I never wear shorts and I’d been hot and well, he got me real bad, 4 places. Anyway not to complainin, but let me know. Thanks for connecting 🙏🏻

I was in pain for about 6 days, and could barely hobble to the bathroom for most of two, but was able to clean the wound almost instantly and very deeply. Also, for unrelated reasons, I bleed. In this case, probably helped. My wife also avoided secondary infection, but over two weeks for her. She does not heal quickly - again, unrrelated reasons.

Thank you for the reply. Yes. It’s been four days now, at 25% I think. So thanks

Welcome to BYC. I hope you are better soon.
What did you do/have done with that rooster? I'm so glad mine are all sweethearts.
He’s still here. I’ve not been out, as can’t yet, family have helped, plus carrying bucket which he is familiar with. Not sure what to do but will definitely remove his spurs, and someone suggested culling him. Not sure though. I’m a believer in it’s just who they are & im sure it’s my fault as I never wear shorts doing chores and well my fault. Lesson well scary learned.

Ya. Gored is I think by a pig but he got me in 4 places deep, but my knee was very deep, Doctor said it got into my knee fluids? So. I’m healing ❤️‍🩹
Technically he flogged you but with that level of injury I felt that GORE was more appropriate.
I've been flogged lots of times. I was never hurt because I was wearing boots and heavy jeans.

Welcome to BackYard Chickens. Hope you get well soon. And a Big Hello from Eastern Nebraska!
Eastern Nebraska, cool rite now but not for long.

He awaiting my recovery ❤️‍🩹 so I can remove his spurs, and see if that helps then if not, I’ll sell him to a Rooster Person {FEED is not cheap}, and he has a great attitude for a Ya know that kind Rooster person.
