Keeping kids busy - and will soon be keeping the chickens busy.

What you need:
Inner tube from toilet paper.
Flour
Water
Scratch.

Make a hole or two at the one end of the toilet paper tube (to hang)
Mix flour and water to a sticky paste.
Smear sticky paste on toilet roll tube.
Sprinkle scratch on sticky paste and press lightly with fingers.
Let dry. Hang somewhere those chickens can reach it.

You should get something similar to this: (still drying)

Great idea!

Another way you can make those is with a pinecone, peanut butter and birdseed. Coat a large pinecone with peanut butter and roll it in birdseed.

cool!...another one i saw was..you take your stale bagels...spread peanutbutter on them and then press them into the scratch/seed mix...and there is already a hole in it for hanging...

....i'm gonna make some of the roll ones tomorrow..thanks for the idea!
