Virginia is for Chick Lovers!
This was posted on our area craigslist. I don't know why it has be laughing so hard!!

"I have two roosters about 10 months old that are too ornery and mean to hang out with my flock. I wouldn't recommend THESE two as pets. They're fine with other chickens, but not socialized with people. So...Get 'em for bug eaters, flock pleasers, or invite them to your BBQ...just TAKE them! They are pretty, they are red, probably New Hampshire Red or a red mix. They came from the red pullet bin at Tractor Supply somewhere in NC. And I already have plenty of meat roosters. Send me an email and I'll reply. First person to show up gets 'em."

Poor 'ole ornery roos.

Ha HAAA they are MY roos! And I couldn't let just anyone take them without warning. I got them in last week from a person overrun with roos, they came with another bird I wanted. I have them housed with some cranky hens, but every time I come near them, they try to PECK me, SPUR me, Bite my feet, and, well, we just don't do that here. I have 29 other roosters here, one of them slept on my lap last night. We just don't BEHAVE like that! So, they have to go somewhere else. Would ya LIKE EM??? they're FREE!

I'm seriously laughing so hard right now. The dogs are staring at me! Oh my!!! I could just read the tone, and the aggrivation all in all. BUT, then to know it's YOUR ROOS! HAHHAHAH! OMG!!! Now I can't contain it. I'm so sorry about your ornery roos. Really I am. But I can't stop laughing!!!

BTW, have ya had many reply's to the ad?

Are you the one I see with chicks sometimes in Rocky Mt? I live in Bedford, Co, close to Smith Mt. Lake. I've been to your area many times. Someone in that area had EE's at one time. I wanted to go get some, but DH veto'd me. Darn hubby wasn't a dear then!

But now my roo has gotten so big, I'm afraid to add another roo to the mix. He is quite comfortable with 30 hens all to himself.

Naw...just ROOSTERS. There are several folks around here that have chickens. And NO responses. I will be having hatching eggs for : EE's (2 different color strains), Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Buckeyes, Delawares, Speckled Sussex, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, Partridge Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, and maybe Welsummers by next spring. I have some mixed breed standards and bantams, too.
