orpington chicks are by far the noisiest little critters on the face of the earth! they are so much more talkative than my other chicks have been....anyone else notice that about theirs?

Really?

Mine were quiet and always have been.
My Rhode Island Reds and Dark Cornish girls are definitely the most talkative of the bunch!

I'm surprised! My Buff Orpingtons are all comparatively quiet. It's my Wyandottes and Rhode Island Reds that never stop talking.

i have 2 lav ops but they are still young and so far they are fairly quiet and docil

yeesh, my EE's scream! ALL DAY. at night i have to put a towel over the brooder! Even they just tone-down their cheeps!

My mixed flock chicks do this funny little sing-song business all of the time but it doesn't get annoying because they're OUTSIDE.

My 5 Buff Orpingtons are 4 weeks old, and they always seem to be peeping at one another or at me to persuade me to give them more treats. They aren't particularly loud (in the garage) but they do talk quite a bit!

I have 3, 2 week old BOs and when I pick them up they go off for about 10 seconds and then get very quite when Im holding them. These are my first chicks but I believe they do the normal peeping when in the brooder.
