Ok the winners have been chosen, and they are
1st- Black Orpington hen from Lots A Cluckin
Beautiful hen, nice tail carriage and general type
2nd- Black Orpington hens from rockinpaints
A flock of gorgeous blacks, might have done better if better pictures were entered (side view etc) but they look lovely, round and have a good green sheen
3rd- Chocolate Orpington Hen from TNBEARCHICK
Showy, perky little hen. Well proportioned and generally easy on the eye
4th- Black Orpington Hen from Kiniska
Nice bantam hen. Her cushion is a bit too pronounced but her shape makes up for that. Looks a good active, alert fowl
5th- Lavender Orpington cockerel from rockinpaints
A stunning cockerel, He would have done better I think if I had a nice side shot but I just couldn't place him higher because I couldn't see the line of his back in the picture.
Congratulations to everyone that entered and a special congratulations to the winners.
If anyone is wondering why a certain bird did/didn't make the top five please PM me and we can discuss it.
Happy new year to everyone, and good luck breeding your Orpingtons.
