These are my very first Orpingtons. I hatched them from hatching eggs I got from gumpsgirl...and I had an incredibly successful hatch.

I am truly in love with this breed now.

They're beautiful and sooooo sweet. I really need expert opinions in regards to the sex of my splash ones. My blues appear, in my novice opinion, to be pullets as they pretty much don't have combs and their wattles are very small. But these splash ones have me completely confused. They're 11 weeks old.

3rd one could be a cockerel, and that's my only thoughts. 2 and 4 are certainly pullets though.

I think 3 and 1 are roos. I had an orp that I thought was a girl for ages, until it sprouted saddle feathers and everything. His comb is just smaller and pinker than the others.

Boy, girl, boy, girl... that's my guess, but then, I'm still guessing on mine.

I agree with Mrs. AK- you are two for two. BUT from what I understand, Orps can surprise you. They are VERY pretty bird, Shelley, I love those splashes!
