Last year I crossed my BO hens with a blue cochin roo, and got some lovely girls from the mix. probably 3/4 were buff in front, blue in back, the other quarter were buff in front, black in back.
I saved the best buff/blue boy and want to breed them together to see what the next generation looks like.
I wonder if anyone here has experimented with these sort of mixes, and if they know what sort of mixes might come from buff to black, or buff to splash crosses? I have access to blue, buff and black orpington roos this year, but mostly buff hens. I might be able to get some splash orp hens from a friend. I'm just curious what they might look like. This is all just for fun, these are my egglaying flock, I don't show.
