    Hello,

This is the first time to post here. I have been reading this forum for a couple of years. I have 4 buff orpington hens. They are about 4 years old. I bought them as chicks from the local feed store. I am expanding my little flock. I am receiving a dozen fertile buff orpington eggs this week. I have never hatched anything...lol. Wish me luck. I love the buff orpington's personality. Do the other colored Orpingtons, like black, white, etc, have the same personality traits? I would love to get more colors.

    Welcome to BYC!

I love the buffs, too. They are wonderful chickens. So far all of my orpingtons are sweet.

Good luck with your hatch! Remember we like to see photos of fluffy butts!

Hi Tina and welcome aboard. I am working on buffs, 18 more eggs in the bator. I can't say what the personality is of the whites or blues, yet, but would imagine it has to be the same as buffs. I was wondering if the whites and blues lay as well and will go broody like the buffs. I don't think you can go wrong with any color orpington. Hope you have a GREAT hatch. [IMG]
