Ok here goes. This is my first time to hatch anything. I have chickens but they have all done the work for me. I got some ostrich eggs and thought I would give it a try. I have done a lot of research, but experience is a lot better then research. I do not know anyone that has any ostrich so I am on my own. I have candles and weighed them every week progress seems right on. They are 36 days along can anyone tell me what to do now. There are so many different answers. Do I still need to turn them? Do I put them in a Hatcher now or do I wait? How do I know exactly when they pip internally? I am really excited and have been anticipating this moment. I know they are not fully developed until 42 weeks, but are they like babies and can come early? What position should they be in when it is time? I also wanted to know if I am supposed to brace their legs for the first few weeks? I know it is a lot of questions and I would like to thank everyone in advance that took the time to read all of this. I know I will probably have more questions later. Thanks, Marilyn
