Well, the main forum page is up but I get the message thing when I try to go to the different sections

I get the same - though at least now I'm able to access past messages (which I have previously been unable to do).

The main forum page seems to be down again

Hope they can figure out what is wrong and get it fixed soon. And I agree with those that say The Coop is the best genetics forum. The knowledge level of regular posters tends to be much higher than on BYC, and the discussions are far more like one would find in scientific journals rather than among backyard hobbyists. Not that there are not those of us who fit that description who post in both locations. The Coop and BYC fulfill different needs.

Any further updates on the status of The Coop? (Henk?)...I'm hoping that whatever is ailing it, is not terminal!

The problem is that the owners of the website did not react to the emails of our administrators. We can not access the database to repair the table that is crashed.

As someone who retired from the tech industry I was getting to the point of "hiring a hacker" to break in and do the deed LOL!

Hopefully the owners will relent and provide some of the knowledgable moderators with an emergency back door for situations like this. That and back up back up and then back up,some more so that at least functionality can be preserved.
