Other Sites?! Wow.

I was looking around on the internet of snail care (don't question) and found three websites that claimed to be sister sites of BYC. That is really cool! They all have a sort of similar screen and they say that they are sister sites at the bottom right of the screen, one of the sister sites is BYC (I wonder why BYC doesn't have that also ). The other sites include Sufficient Self, Back Yard Herds, and The Easy Garden. I just wanted to say, wow, this is pretty amazing.

Those three ARE BYC's sister sites.
You should check them out....very neat sites.

Since there's a thread on the topic...can anyone clarify what this actually means? What is a "sister site"?

I cannot use the same login for all sites, can I? It doesn't appear, other than the links you screenshot, that there are any real sharing or references between the sites.

Do you all share the same server, backend, etc.? Managed by a single entity?

Just trying to understand what this sister site stuff means is all

Sister sites are similar in function, being variations on the same Intellectual property, service, product and/or experience, are usually owned by the same person or at least the same company. Though sister sites can be owned by separate entities that have an affiliation with each other.
