Other words to use for coop, for my paper... Ideas?

For my English paper at my Co-op I am writing about the time I found my first egg, and I am using the word "coop" A LOT! I need some ideas... Sadly Google can't help me on this one! The results were kinda goofy... So I'll leave it up to you guys!

Okay, I'm almost done my paper (it is due for tomorrow, so anytime after 12/7/11 I won't need help, but you can post them, anyway for anyone googling it, or looking it up on here).

Ideas are still welcome tonight, because I had to use some of the suggestions several times.

Change "ourbuilding" to "outbuilding"

Depending on the contest, you may be able to describe the coop initially, then use these descriptions later on.

"The coop is a safe haven with high roosts and nesting boxes filled with pine shavings."

Then later-
....the chickens go to safety...
...high on their roosts..
..nestled in the shavings..
....in the nesting box...

Guess I usually write henhouse as one word. Also could call it a shed or shelter
