Hi everyone, just need some advice. My rooster attacked me earlier today, it's the worst time yet, although there was only a puncture wound (which managed to penetrate my boot) and very little blood, my ankle has now swelled up and I'm having difficulty putting weight on it. I've had a few run ins in the past but this has left me worse offvtyah before. Has anyone ever reacted the same way if so what is the best remedy 😢

You do not have to cull him unless he doesn’t respond to discipline. You need to show him whose boss... if you don’t it will never change and it will just get worse... then your life will revolve around that rooster. How will you ever go away on vacation and have people come care for your flock if you have an aggressive rooster? I know you see him as the cute little chicky he once was, but rest assured those days are over. He is now a hormonally raging teenager who wants to be #1.... he has no emotional attachment to you like that.

Hi , I understand totally he's 3 years old and I had to train him at 4 months as he got too big for his boots, took me a couple of months (wearing welding gloves) before we found peace. One of my older hens (the head girl), is probably on her last legs , she was getting tired too easily so I made her a place to rest in an old rabbit hutch on the ground as she couldn't make it up to the nest boxes. He must have thought I was hurting her so went for me. Bless him, hes sat beside her all day
