The little red sexlink that started laying just a few weeks ago and is laying doubles about 1/4 of the time has produced two eggs in the 100 gram area (a 99 and a 101) this week. I haven't cracked them yet but guessing triples.

I'm amazed and impressed but also a bit concerned about the situation since she isn't a very big girl.

Crazy right? Same size chicken, NOT the same size egg. I've also got one that lays eggs at least 1/3 larger than the others and probably 2 or 3 double yolks a month. We call them goose eggs!
I've never weighed one of mine though

Kids reported back that these were only doubles, her eggs are just getting bigger. The single she laid yesterday is 65g so I guess she's all done laying pullet-sized eggs. At 24 weeks... when some pullets are only just laying their first egg. I kinda love this chicken.

I have a Marans hen that lays 78-80g single yolk eggs normally so "big" in my eyes is anything notably larger than hers.
