Our 1st egg

I wrote a lengthy post a day or two ago regarding having had to "hospitalize" 2 pullets a cockerel /roo had torn up very badly.

This morning just after 0600 when I arrived at barn to take care of them I found a small egg in one of their cages. Still warm.

She (Buff Orp) seemed proud of it too.
Here's a pic taken immediately after finding it. (Glove used to keep it in place for pic on Kubota hood.)

2nd pic is in kitchen to show how small it was.

Kinda jazzed about it !

Very nice! I got my first egg 5 days ago. Next day I got 2. Then 3. Yesterday just one, then today three. Yep. Kind of exciting! Got a few wonky ones, but they fried up just fine. One was a little double yolker.
