just got our 1st egg today what an amazing feeling . we got 9 hens. so far only been getting 1 egg a day. there all the same age.

Congratulations! I know how impatient i am with my girls - wishing they would lay - one that should have started laying was using the nest as a dust bath this morning - silly thing!

the rest will happen soon enough, kinda like a domino effect, we started out flock with 2 day old in the spring and gotten 3 chicks out of our flock.

Just remember they can mature at slightly different pace even though they are same age
