We are so excited and finally have more pretty brown eggs than we know what to do with!
After the long wait from day old chicks to the last few weeks when they started laying at 21 weeks
it's been so much fun as the number of eggs we are getting increases every day.
We have 3 roos and 24 pullets - all turned 24 weeks old on Sunday and that was the day we
got the most eggs in one day so far which was 18.
We've given away several dozen and I still had so many eggs I had to make 5 deep dish quiches
( oh, poor me, lol! ) Sunday to use a lot of them up.
Oh happy days. Do you all get a thrill when you go to the nesting boxes and find the cute little
piles of 5 or 6 eggs in several nests? I never get tired of it - like an easter egg hunt every day!
