We got some chicks at a local feed store on his 5th Anniversary Customer Appreciation day, We have 2 Roosters and 2 hens, we'd like more as we heard the General rule is 5-7 hens per rooster. Our "coop" is 4x8 inside and a huge 24ft 4'x4'x4' enclosed run. Where do we go about finding chickens in SW Georgia... new to this sorry about the noob question...

No question is a bad question! Folks should notice your question is you could write in the heading "Where to find GA birds" and then say how you have thus and such.
Its not easy getting the hang of questions and answers, but that will give you a great start, also look in the Chickenstock, I'm sure you can find events close to where you are! (They are fun) Keep in mind that often in hot weather, events are very slow as it stresses the birds out.
Good luck, hope I helped!

I wish I knew what the chickens are (sex/breed)... (I am taking a picture now)....still inside at night in a tupperware bin as the coop is being constructed... hard to build one by yourself!

The 2 Older Chicks - The one in the middle is solid black, feathers have a Purple/Cyan shimmer to them. I an hoping this is a rooster as it still has "fur?". The one in the background I am hoping is a hen. Several interesting traights. Black with green shimmer to the feathers, with orange feathers popping out everywhere. A "mohawk" on it's head, and a "dual comb".

The 2 Younger Chicks - Both solid black with blue/green shimmer. No Idea on sex of either... the one on the far left still does not have all of it's feathers, the one in the middle with the yellow comb has all of it's feathers

Myself and my 2 younger kids "working" on the "chicken house".

My good heavens, no wonder you say its hard to build a coop alone! Wowsa, that is a super nice "shack" for the girls! LOL
You need to post the bird pics in breed, also coop in the coop section, all photos are worthy of being placed online (no many are not worth- lol). Aren't I bossy.
Personally I'd assume 2 roo 2 pullets, but age can make a big diff. Did you get them as straight run? Or were they sold as egg layers?
That can tell a lot. Great title, someone who knows something will stop in!
Make sure you share all of your photos as they grow (birds and coop) , your doing a pretty darn good job.
Have a great day!
