Second time this hen went broody. Her other hatching are now 19 weeks. We were not expecting it either time. She is just 10 months old. Just hoping I don't have to find a new home for any cockerels.I also like hatching in the last half of the year, so that when spring rolls around they are old enough to start laying eggs. Normally last of August through September...
Cogburn wasn't having it. After telling her once and being ignored, he came and pecked her on the head. She immediately got up and took the babies into not only the run, but the coop. She is a good momma.
