Our babies have arrived.

We are first time chicken parents. We were wanting chickens and my sister has been telling me for over a year we should get some since they love theirs. We moved to NH to a big property zoned for livestock and we decided to go for it. I read up about it ordered my chicks in December from mypetchicken.com and picked March 10th as week of delivery. I ordered 2 golden cuckoo Marans, 3 golden laced Wyandottes and 10 mixed brown egg layers. Our babies were shipped yesterday late afternoon and arrived today around 1:30. I was so worried because Ohio to New Hampshite is a pretty big trip and we had some snow. I figured it would hold the mail up but nope not even 24 hours for shipping. We ended up receiving 16 chicks all alive and alert. They are auper cute and our kids love watching them. Now if we can get some of the snow in the yard to melt so we can get their house and run built that would be great.
