We got chicks from Murray McMurray Hatchery on Sunday and so far 12 have died. Mostly Australorps but also some cockoo marans and one silver laced wyandotte.

now a speckled sussex is starting to show the symptoms. First they start out fine and healthy looking then they will become very lethargic, they wont move. they will just stand there with their face on the ground and wings outspread. then they will start to fall over. after they fall they wont get back up at all. and we try to make sure we get them water and feed. They are on a specially designed feed(by UT). after they fall its only hours till they are dead. whats happening? anyone?

Last year i got 50 chicks from Mcmurray 22 didnt make it same symptoms as your I believe it was the stress from shipping. I got a refund for all my chicks that passed Im sorry its very awful to watch and to go through...

oh gosh we got 300 I hope we dont lose great numbers. and its not to hot they are all in and out of the brooder light . and I know our brooder can handle that number because its a 12' by 24' foaling stall.
