Our chicken doesn't think she's a chicken! She's a lap pet!

So a while back when we got some new chicks at the feed store we noticed one with a messed up beak. Well honestly we didn't think she'd make it, but I read on here to just be patient and hand feed her soft things. We did and now she's a big chicken! lol

BUT she thinks when we get home and let everyone out to range, it's her job to race us to the house and to the pantry door where the feed is! I put her in the feed bags while I dish up dinner for everyone giving her a chance to eat uninterupted. Now she just flys up to the washer and jumps right in!

The kicker was yesterday and today though. Yesterday she sat at the back screen door peeping till we let her in. She comes in, sits on my lap and goes to sleep for like an hour! lol Then today we were leaving to get our bunnies and there she was! She was chasing the truck! So I didn't want her to get hurt so we stopped and picked her up. That little chicken sat on my shoulder the whole ride! We get to this ladies house and she was like, "hey did you know there's a chicken on your shoulder?" ha ha We were like oh yeah she thinks she's a parrot, lol. She is so rotten!!

So now the older she gets the more her bottom jaw goes sideways. So we named her Nemo! I'm thinking of changing it to spoiled rotten! I have a picture but it's on my cell phone and I can't put it online!

I can relate. One of my hens in particular, my black Ameraucana, Gypsy, wants to be a purse. I'm thinking of getting a shoulder strap so I can have two hands from to do my chores.
