Our chicks are here!

We’ve had our new chicks for 8 days. They’re growing faster than I imagined they would, so we had to move them from their small bin...it’s amazing what you can do with a kiddie pool, 2 hula hoops, a roll of hardware cloth and lots of zip ties.

We’ll know each other really well by the time the coop-to-be is delivered. It won’t be here until July 15th!

My first chickens (17!) arrived via the USPS 4 weeks ago today. They are huge already! And one pullet crowed this morning!!

It worked pretty well to support the wire. I’ll need to cover it soon...the bigger ones are climbing on top of the brooder and flapping their little wings already.
