I went to the feed store yesterday to pick up our chicks and we are beyond excited. We haven't raised chicks for a couple of years and we have missed hearing their little chirps in the house. Last year, we raised ducklings, which was much more challenging. This year, we ordered 1 Plymouth Barred Rock (black chick), 1 Buff Orpington (yellow chick), 1 Easter Egger (striped brown chick), and 1 Blue Australorp (grey chick). The Barred Rock is "Nanette" - The Buff Orpington is "Posey" - The Easter Egger is "Indy" - The Australorp is "Sylvia". We love them to pieces and can't wait to watch them grow!
