just hanging out with the cochins today since it's so pretty here.

Hey, neighbor.
We spent all day yesterday outside with our pretty Cochins and about 100 other chickens. It was so pretty, we wore ourselves out building more pens. It's soon going to be hatching season.
I have this bad habit of sitting here reading BYC when I need to go down to the barn right now and gather more eggs. We are up to 40 eggs a day from the 32 we have gotten all winter. The warmer it gets the more the hens like to lay. And I ain't complaining!

well, if ya felt like building more pens why didn't ya come on over?

i have been thinking about a few more, but......baby coming in july and
we hope to move closer to hickory tavern( laurens area) soon. but i have chicken fever and more eggs on the way already! i think next time i will try to build smaller pens to concentrate on breeding projects. hubby thinks i am nuts already. he's right!
