We have been using the coop since Easter Sunday after we finally finished making it as predator proof as one possibly can! My husband worked tirelessly to build a coop/run extension. This is the first time he has built anything and I think he did a pretty good job! He wanted the angle of the run to match the coop. This was all done off the top of his head, no plans to go by. The engineerhim shines through in this masterpiece. :)

Some of the chicken coops on here are so amazing.
This one is lovely really traditional
Mine is really boring in comparison
I've spent days putting wood treatments on to it
And now I just want to paint it a nice bright colour!

I wanted to adapt my greenhouse, remove the glass an add wire but other half thought it was a daft idea! I just like to think they have as much space as possible , even inside the coop,
A horse stall sounds great, I'd love an old retro caravan as a coop, not very practical( mind you all the little cupboards would make nest boxes) it would look great though

I think the fun of owning chickens is that if their basic needs are taken care of (safety, temperature, food, etc) then they are happy.

The rest of it is purely for our own enjoyment! :)

We made our coop match our house, but I seriously doubt the chickens give two hoots.
