Oh I love your coop! Thank you for sharing! I am building my coop now, and have 0 carpentry skills, so seeing the finished products really provide great inspiration!

Ok, I added the ventilation to the coop and I also added this to the run:

The chickens seem to really enjoy it...all six of them were up there this morning...lol

They have been trying to get up to the 2x4 that goes around the middle of the run (as you can see from the one flapping at the top of the picture...lol), but because of the hardware cloth there is not enough room to sit on it so they fall off. I figured if I put another roost resting across the corner they might like that also so I will probably do that today or tomorrow. I will eventually put the coop up on a stand about a foot and a half off the ground also, but that will have to wait just a bit longer.

I agree raise the coop, but I would also suggest puttting the coop outside the run! Give the chickens more room when the reach adulthood, plus it will make it so much easier to get your eggs out when it is raised and outside the run. We used cement blocks, stacked in each corner to raise ours up 16". Very easy.
