Our coop has been started! (Roof's on, page 2!)

We finally had a non-rainy day and they were able to get the roof on today!

So this week the plan is to get the rest of the walls up and the roost/nest boxes set up. Then I'll paint the inside and hopefully by next weekend the chickens will be able to go in.

In that last picture, you can see one of the windows I got for $5 leaning against the front too. I'd tried everywhere: Craig's List, Habitat for Humanity Restore, etc, and no luck finding cheap windows. Then it turned out our local thrift store had two of those slider windows and two bigger windows we're going to use for the sides, all for $5 each!
