We started out building this coop with drawings I made. The coop went up fast and the chickens moved in to enjoy their new home! Although the structure was done weeks ago we slowly took time to finish some of the other components. On Friday I came home from work to find my wife had stained/sealed the chicken coop (she is so wonderful)! So with the help of my dad, wife and kids we are happy with our coop (and so are the chickens). We are still undecided if we want to build a run. We have plenty of land for the chickens to run but I don’t know what to do in the winter. Here are a few pictures we hope you enjoy them!

Looks great..... about 1/2 way done with mine ( i should be working on it instead of on the computer)

do you have any ventilation for the winter months when those windows are closed up?
(looking for more ideas, not criticizing.)

Thank you all! Yes all the overhangs on the roof are screened for ventilation. I'm hoping this will be enough ventilation when the windows are closed.
