I like it! Also, like your Barred Rock cockerel. I have three BR roosters and ten Barred Rock hens in my big laying flock. They're my favorite breed. And I'm jealous of all the grass. I live on a mtn in the woods.

We made their run oversized so they wouldn't wear the grass don't to dirt. It's working pretty well....and now that they're free ranging for the most part, I'll probably actually need to drag the push mower into their run.

I have hooks and eyes and some chain set aside to let the "wings" get put up and not have to use the poles. Now that the cool weather has started, I may not get around to that bit of improvement 'til spring.

The next improvements to the coop will be installing the automatic door lifter (I'm actually kinda ambivalent about that) and buying a heated fount of some sort.

I think your coop design is great! It looks really easy to clean. Are you going to make a BYC coop page? You can have it perfected by the time of next year's contest.
