One question though, what is the consensus amongst those in the know, about the 2x4 perches? I think when my FIL built mine he used clothing rod stock. Does it matter if the toes don't wrap?

That looks great. I am just in the "homework" stage for finding a good design for a coop. I sure wish there was a huge catalogue out there to show lots of ideas. Do you know of any? What is the flooring in your coop? Concrete? Also, what will you do for your run - sand, gravel?
