This is the coop my husband built! All the shingles are hand split (so he proudly boasts to everyone who asks lol) I love that we have windows to pop open for ventilation, the whole front side opens up for easy cleaning, and the nesting boxes are on the outside, so I don't need to go inside the run to get eggs! Pardon the mess in the building phase photos lol

Side view Windows now have chicken wire on the inside, and hinges that allow them to be propped open for ventilation.

Front view. You can see the hinges and such on it. It opens up for super quick and easy cleaning of everything!

Backside view. One more window for ventilation, set up the same way. You can see the roosts a bit in this photo.

Nesting boxes. They have cute little doors on them now!

And the finished project with chickens!!! That'd be Clyde, our rooster, up on what we call the "porch" watching over his ladies! haha

Looks nice. I also like the metal roofing. Easy and not too expensive.
Thank you! We chose it because of price and ease of installing it. Not to mention, we think it's cute! lol
very nice.how many chickens do you have living there? what kind do you have?
Nannie, right now there are two columbian wyandotte banny roos, 4 columbian wyandotte banny hens, and 1 barred rock banny hen that are all in this coop. BUT I have 3 blue cochins, 1 buff cochin, 1 barred rock banny, 2 columbian wyandotte bannys,11 lavender orpingtons, and 5 assorted bannys that are all too little to be in the big coop right now. But the columbians, barred rock, and cochins should be big enough to join them in the next couple weeks. So grand total 30 chickens, but only 7 in the coop for now. We're looking into adding on to this coop, and making an "apartment complex" of sorts for other chickens.
Gorgeous!

Tell your DH that the shingles are magnificent!
