Our coop

i live in northern Illinois. Suburbia.

we have chipmunks, squirrel, opposum, skunks, raccoons, hawks and feral cats.

there are some coyote around. My yard is fenced and I have never seen one in the yard.
You will find Raccoons and Opposum in your yard someday! They are regularly found at night where I live. And opposum scares the living daylights out of me! lol

Now that you have chickens, you will definitely see raccoons in your yard.

I’m gonna agree with the hardware cloth. Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean you don’t have a raccoon or such around. The run looks great otherwise. I’m also gonna agree that the coop might be a bit small. When I got my chickens at the beginning of the spring I did a lot of reading about coop size. One thing I picked up was store bought coops tended to exaggerate how many hens happily fit in. That’s part of why I wound up building my own coop and run. Your area looks great!

I'd also remove the two short (2x4) roosts in the corner of the run, and put them a couple of feet in, away from outside border of the run. Some people use saw horses or similar.
