Our Coops

I just thought I'd share my two coops I use one is built from an old steel shed I got from my boss for the low cost of free. I repainted it and added the run I bought from TSC on clearance. It houses 16 chickens currently. The other one we just moved and started remodelling today. It was a seed starting green house I built two years ago that I no longer needed. It is 8'x10'. With an 8' peak. There is a gap between the two coops and it will be filled with a room to store feed, straw and other materials. The run for the new coop will run off the tall side. So the two setups will mirror each other. I plan to put gutters on and collect rain water to use on my field crops and keep the runs dry.

The plywood will be cut down flush with the low side of the framing but after getting snow on top of the greenhouse film for two years the frame shifted slight so we decided it would be easiest to cut off the excess after it's all hung. We will paint the wood coop to match the metal one.
