Our Duck Run Is Built!

Wow that's lovely, I'm new to keeping birds and never kept ducks so please excuse me if I'm being dumb but can't they just fly over the top?
You're question is not dumb!!!
The fence is about 3ft high and the species of duck I have cannot fly which is a bonus!

That is very nice! they did a great job.

Thank you, Quackers!
It's not duck house-beautiful, but it works! As long as they are safe and kept clean/healthy, I have no problem!

Oh i see i just thought all ducks could fly! well you live and learn.
well its lovely you must all be so pleased its finished (you and the ducks) :)

Yes it is so nice to have them in their finished home!!! Had a predator scare tonight so we have to cover it and get some electric fencing on it!

I plan to set the ground rods deeper into the soil to pop up the effectiveness of the electric fence this year. There has been more night time activity it seems. Right now the flock is still sleeping in the walkout basement pen. It works well, I am in no big hurry, but once the weather warms up it is nice for them to be outdoors at night. Less maintenance needed.

How do you have your ground rods? Our soil is so stony I cut the 6' rod in half and pounded each half in as far as they would go, but I figured out how I might get them in deeper, using a spud bar to get past stones.
