Ok heres what we have goin on. My father tried to talk me into getting chickens for years. I moved onto 5 acres back in 1991. I always told him he was nuts and I needed chickens like a another hole in the head. Years went by and the wife and I had kids. Then the thought of what was going into the chicken and eggs I was feeding my family started to make me think that another hole in the head was not such a bad idea after all.... Ahh my fathers wisdom. Well I put the first coup together and the kids loved the birds, we love the eggs and meat. My dad got a smile before he passed away in April. I was pleased all around and now its turned into quite an operation.
Thanks DAD, I love ya.

Your link's working now! They look amazing. I am so glad you posted these pics because we are planning on building two separate coops that are mirror images of each other connected by a storage area. Nice job!

Edited to add: What are the sizes of each of those coops?

Thanks, it really just sorta took on a life of its own. I decided to build the second coup so we could keep layers and meat birds seperate. Thinking maybe about trying turkeys too. The sizes are 12' x 8' with a four foot pit where i put the roosts. I need to get a better angle of that. I tried to link to my page that has a right up on them but I was doing something wrong and it didnt work?

Now it is, I think
