our egg chart, using Google spreadsheets

    Shortly after our hens started laying, we got all geeky about it. It started as a Google spreadsheet, and turned into this...


    So we have 12 hens, 6 EEs and 6 Black sex links, all the same age (5+ months now).

    Let me know if you have questions about it. It took a bit to figure out at first but humming along nicely now.

    That's totally something I would do!

    I'm going to go low-tech and just put a sharpie in the coop to put tick marks on the inside of the nesting box. Like a prisoner checking off days, I'm going to check off how many eggs I get.

    Your EE's look like they do the same thing ours do. One day a huge egg then 2-3 days off, and so and so on. Weenies.

    yeah, the EE pattern has been particularly odd. It's also hard to figure out if this is just the work of one EE or if we're getting 1 on, 2 days off kinda thing with 1-2 hens. Surely not more than a few are laying with this kind of pattern, however.
